August Kleinzahler's most recent collection of poems, Red Sauce, Whiskey and Snow was published in 1995 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in the United States and by Faber and Faber in England. His previous books of poetry include Storm Over Hackensack, which won the 1985 Bay Area Book Reviewers' Award, and Earthquake Weather, which was nominated for a National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry in 1989, both published by Moyer Bell. A new and selected collection of his poetry, Like Cities, Like Storms, was published by Picador in Sydney, Australia in 1992. His many honors include the Lila Wallace-Reader's Digest Writer's Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and an Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. August Kleinzahler is currently Visiting Poet at Brown University.
