Marilyn Hacker is the author of eight books of poetry, most recently Selected Poems
1965-1990 (W.W. Norton, 1994) and Winter Numbers (W.W. Norton, 1994), which received the Lambda Literary Award for 1995. She also received the Lambda Award in 1991 for Going Back to the River (Random House, 1990) and the National Book Award for Presentation Piece (Viking Press, 1974) in 1975, which was also a Lamont Poetry Selection of the Academy of American Poets. From 1990 until the summer of 1994 she was editor of the Kenyon Review. Marilyn Hacker lives in New York and Paris.
