Mark Doty's fourth collection of poems is Atlantis (Harper
Collins, 1995). His two collections of poems Bethlehem in Broad
Daylight (1991) and Turtle, Swan (1987), were published
by David R. Godine. My Alexandria (University of Illinois,
1993) was selected for the 1993 National Poetry Series by Philip
Levine, and received both the National Book Critics Circle Award
and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for 1994. My Alexandria
was also a finalist for the National Book Award. Mark Doty's
honors include fellowships from the National Endowment for the
Arts, Guggenheim, Ingram Merrill, and Rockefeller Foundations.
He has taught at Brandeis University, Sarah Lawrence College,
and the M.F.A. in Writing Program at Vermont College. Mark Doty
lives in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
