Li-Young Lee's most recent collection, The City In Which I Love You (BOA Editions, 1990), was the Lamont Poetry Selection of the Academy of American Poets for 1990. His first volume, Rose (BOA Editions, 1986), was awarded New York University's Delmore Schwartz Memorial Poetry Award. His poems have appeared in three Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses anthologies. His honors include a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Writer's Award from the Mrs. Giles Whiting Foundation, and grants from the Illinois Arts Council, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Li-Young Lee lives in Chicago.
